Subject:  Personnel--Restaffing of the Office of Ground
                     Water

I am pleased to announce the addition of the following people to
the Office of Ground Water:

      Kenneth J. Hollett, as Assistant Office Chief

      William M. Alley, as Regional Aquifer System Analysis
      Program Coordinator

      Jilann O. Brunett, as Ground-water Data Base Coordinator

Their backgrounds will complement the backgrounds of the existing
office staff and broaden the capability of the Office of Ground
Water to meet the challenge of providing proactive national
leadership to the Division's ground-water programs and of working
effectively with the other discipline offices in areas of
overlapping responsibilities.

The addition of the above personnel to the Office of Ground Water
also will help to markedly contribute to a major goal of the
Office to actively fulfill its responsibilities to provide the
leadership required to maintain and expand the Division's
preeminence in ground-water hydrology.
